Mermaids & Dragons at Sheer Rocks, Antigua

🌴 Perhaps the most beautiful place in Antigua… This is Sheer Rocks. Oh, and the food and beverages are pretty amazing too. It’s the full escape package, and we’re totally here for it! Lounging around is sheer luxury there, with each seat and sunbed offering sheer comfort (we may be using the word ‘sheer’ a lot…) and facing stunning views of the calm sea with darling sailboats floating by.

Our unforgettable experience started with a warm welcome at the rustic vibe bar, enjoying a ‘Rocks Colada’ which starred mermaid salt and toasted coconut flakes. Yum! Also knocked back a glass of wine (or two, or three… hey, who’s counting?).

This was to be a short bar-hop visit but we couldn’t resist the urge to take it a little further and stay for dinner. Tables lined the edge of the water - a sunset watcher’s sheer delight. With a front row seat to nature’s greatest show, we indulged in the Yellow Fin Tuna Steak featuring Black Sesame Tahini, Grilled Broccolini & Ginger. It was soooooooo good! For dessert was a Caramel Poached Pear on a Macadamia Nut Sponge with Golden Raisins & Beurre Noisette Ice Cream. 😋

Jackson was Sheer Rock’s service star! His personal touch elevated the experience, serving up his signature concoction called a Mexican Dragon, made of tequila, dragonfruit, grapefruit juice and other secret ingredients he couldn’t be bribed to share. 🐲🍹
